The following is a step-by-step guide on getting started with Invisalign treatment.

During your initial consultation appointment, comprehensive diagnostic records will be taken. This is followed by an examination on your bite and facial appearance performed by our experienced orthodontists. The orthodontists will determine if treatment is recommended, and provide the best possible treatment options for you and a customized treatment plan can be tailored to your needs.
The consultation appointment also provides a great opportunity for you to express your concerns and ask any question you have in mind.
All of these are important because systems like Invisalign are just one, of many ways, to straighten teeth. And sometimes other methods offer specific advantages. That’s what this initial consultation is all about, learning.
Once the orthodontists has determine that you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign, we will take your dental impressions, which are putty mold of your teeth.
Your records will be forwarded to Align Technology, Inc., the company who manufactures Invisalign aligners.
Technicians at Align Technology, Inc. will perform a digital scan of your dental impressions. They’ll then take this data and create a computer-animated 3-D model of your upper and lower teeth.
Once the virtual modeling of your teeth has been completed, an Invisalign® technician will create an on-screen animation showing a proposed treatment plan for your case according to the orthodontist’s requests.
This virtual modelling software gives the orthodontists the ability to evaluate your animation from various angle. After viewing it, the orthodontists can request changes to the proposed treatment plan if they feel they are needed.
At this stage, our orthodontist will invite you to review the virtual simulation of your treatment. This is a chance for you to see what the alignment of your teeth at the completion of your treatment. During this appointment, the orthodontist will explain a few things about your treatment to you such as how many sets of aligners you will wear, and if attachments or buttons will be needed, etc.
Once you are happy with the proposed treatment plan, the orthodontist will approve the plan.
When the orthodontist’s approval has been received, Align Technology will take your case’s digital information and use it to manufacture a series of Invisalign aligners. Once manufactured, all your Invisalign aligners will be delivered to our office.
You will be provided with the first few sets of aligners. Each aligners are to be worn for two weeks. Regular review appointments will be scheduled for our orthodontist to monitor the progress of your Invisalign journey.
